My born again blog

(yes I’m a crazy cat lady called Kitty)

So, where do I start…. I’m back with a brand new blog!

To elaborate more on ‘I’m back’, I previously blogged between the years of 2010 to 2013 alongside studying fashion graphics at university, (stopped for a short while, like everyone else to find myself) then carried on with dribs and drabs of half assed posts to summer 2016 when I decided to call it a day.

A lot has changed since then. I have changed a lot since then… and so has blogging. I’ve spent a lot of this year debating whether or not I should start investing my spare time into writing again which I was previously so passionate about. While at work in my 9-5, I sit at my computer, constantly day dreaming about running my successful but imaginary blog. It may be all in my head but I love getting that overwhelming feel of excitement and optimism. Then of course come in the army of negative thoughts – “pftt, do you really think anyone would care to read your blog?! … “what a waste of your time and everyone else’s”, which eventually knocks myself confidence back to square one and all of my positive thoughts toodleoo out the window.

It dawned on me after turning 25 in July that I want/need to stop thinking and start doing. I know I’m not old but I’m not getting any younger and all I want is to not get to an age where I think man, why didn’t I just do it?

I started reading She Means Business by Carrie Green which I’d certainly recommend for those of you perhaps in the same position as myself. I’m a big thinker, small speaker and an even smaller do’er, but if I continue visualizing turning my dreams into reality it’s just the effort that I need to put in now.

October is my favourite month of the year. It’s the beginning of proper party season, faux fur coats and dark lipsticks start making an appearance, nature is at its most beautiful and of course – Halloween! So what better time to re-birth my blog and this time I’m doing it for me and no one else… and other people enjoy it along the way then bonus points to me!

Be prepared for posts on my favourite pastime – buying and sharing my bargain eBay, high street and charity shop finds. DIY posts, fashion wants, occasional travel and the odd personal post.

Chow for now…

love from Meow   (lol rhyme)
